The 70,000 women who die annually as a result of unsafe abortion didn’t just die because abortion was illegal in the country they live in. They died because their lives were seen as dispensable by those in charge.

The truth of the matter is… .

You don’t have to be a diehard Obama supporter to recognize that there is racism against the man. Even if you disagree with some of his policies or strategies, you know the loudest and most vicious against him haven’t arrived to that opinion from great reflection and reasoning about his platform, but kneejerk reaction to the color of his skin (not to mention his name and his father’s heritage).

^ All I been tryin’ to say since the end of 2007, up to this day.

People don’t hate Newt Gingrich because he cheated on two wives - they hate him because he did that while campaigning on “family values” and “the sanctity of traditional marriage.”

Why is this so hard to understand? It’s the hypocrisy, not the [presumably consensual] sex.

^ YES. It’s shitty that he cheated on two wives and left them when they were terminally ill. But it’s politically reprehensible that he would claim to be the “values candidate” who will protect the “sanctity of marriage” after doing it.
